How many of us who use SLRs/DSLRs still frequent our old pocket/handheld point and shoots?

*raises hand* Me me me me me!!

It's hard to throw them away or ignore them completely - they come in handy in so many ways.  What are your thoughts on that?  Do you have a favorite small, all purpose camera?

I use one almost every day.  I had it in the car yesterday.

What kind of point and shoot do you have now?  I use Jeremy's Sony.  It's easy to carry anywhere, and you can do more with a point and shoot than most people realize.

Do you have any special techniques that you use with your point and shoot?  I frequent the white balance thingy, myself.

I use a really inexpensive HP Photosmart E327.  There are very few features and I don't use them especially.  I use this camera for three reasons:

to snap potential shots to come back to with my DSLR

a video I'm working on

365 day project

a picture a day project.

The picture quality isn't that great, but its always in my pocket.

That's cool.  I think it's fun to try to shoot things with a pocket camera and aim for the same or very similar results that I would get with the SLR, just to prove that it doesn't matter if you have a big, expensive camera, you can still take awesome shots if you know what you're doing.  LOL  Although, I LOVE the SLR because it is easier to get those great shots...
